This is going to be a short post, because I’m trying to spend as much time working on the books as possible. The release date for the first three Horrendous books is April 2019, and it’s going to take a lot of effort to hit that goal.
In the meantime, here’s something that might be interesting: my actual word count goals from the start of the month until now.
As far as my usual productivity goes, this has been a very successful month so far. I’m a firm believer in momentum and consistency over lofty goals. I’d rather have a low goal I can hit, than a large one I’ll miss. As you can see, my goal is “1500”. I only missed one day of writing. My highest word count for a day was 5265. My average for all the days was just under 2000 words. I’m tickled pink by these results and am looking forward to continuing them.
I recently got Divinity 2: Original Sin, however, and I’m worried that the game is going to cut into my writing time. But that’s the point of being professional; preventing distractions from derailing progress.
Wish me luck!
